Thân bài 1 – Bước đầu tiên của quy trình: trồng trái khóm

• Ở bước đầu, khóm được trồng trên vùng đất có khí hậu có nhiệt độ dao động từ 23 đến 30 độ C với các tán cách nhau 26 xăng-ti-mét 

• Sau bảy tháng, ethylene được phun lên cây để khóm tiếp tục phát triển thêm 5 tháng nữa cho đến khi thu hoạch

• Sau 12 tháng, khóm có chiều cao 30 xăng-ti-mét và trọng lượng 2 ký

Thân bài 2 -  Bước kết thúc của quy trình: tạo ra các sản phẩm từ khóm

• Khóm đạt độ chín mùi nhất định được thu hoạch được và rửa sạch trước khi phân loại theo kích cỡ phù hợp với các bước xử lý tiếp theo

• Sau khi được phân loại, khóm được chia thành ba nhóm theo kích thước: khóm cỡ nhỏ, khóm cỡ vừa và khóm cỡ lớn

• Khóm cỡ nhỏ được loại bỏ phần ngọn và gọt vỏ trước khi được đưa vào máy chiết thành nước ép khóm và đóng gói vào các vật chứa

• Khóm cỡ vừa được cắt thành từng lát hoặc khối nhỏ hơn và đều và được đóng hộp để trở thành mứt khóm

• Khóm cỡ lớn nhất được phủ một lớp sáp và đặt vào thùng trước khi xuất khẩu ra nước ngoài.
